Meet the Team

Bridget Sakowski, LCSW She/hers
Owner and therapist

I am glad you are here.

My practice is grounded in a people-centered lens that recognizes the impact of systems on overall wellbeing. In sessions, we will work together to process past experiences that continue to impact you today, center your stories, and help you make meaning of the events of your life. I also use mindfulness bring the nervous systems into healing. As experts of our own lives, therapy provides a space for exploration and discovery.

Together, we will work towards a life with only the occasional anxious thought and nights of restful sleep.

I work with individuals with anxiety, depression, and overall stress to think about how they understand themselves, their relationships, and the world around them. Therapy allows folks to process their past traumas as they navigate the challenges of daily life that are often influenced by the larger systems of life. I collaborate with you to build and live your preferred life through a comfortable, safe space.

A Bit More About Me:

I am a therapist, licensed clinical social worker, and non-profit professional living and working in Maine. I have my Master of Social Work from Boston College, with a concentration in clinical social work and global practice and trauma. I worked as a therapist in community mental health clinics, as an advocate for sexual violence survivors, and as a case manager for newly arrived folks in the US. Beyond that, I focused personally and professionally on building community and making systemic change. By working in a variety of settings and capacities, I developed a holistic, disciplinary approach that is ultimately grounded an anti-capitalist approach. I have worked in the fields of mental health, social justice, and gender equity for over a decade both in the US and abroad.

I offer a safe therapeutic space for adults to better manage and address the root causes of stress levels, anxiety, and depression. I love to help adults create the life they want and find joy in each day. Outside the office, I'm either reading in the sun or in the woods with friends.
